With Sametime integration, users can reach people more efficiently, and communicate through instant messaging if they find them online. Icons and colors next to each member’s name “light up” to indicate their availability. This feature, known as Presence Awareness, lets other team members know if someone is online, away, is on “do not disturb,” isn’t online, or is within mobile reach.

My Places

Find information faster…..

My Places will automatically identify all of a person’s workspaces, avoiding the task of bookmarking each individual place, while simplifying viewing, finding and moving from one Place to another. Due to the support of Single Sign-on, users can select a Place on the list without logging in. Once users are invited to a new workspace, it will automatically appear in the Places list.

Place Types

Customize from templates…..
Jump-start your Team Workplace with Place Types templates for four industry segments, including Life Sciences, eGovernment Rapid Response, Manufacturing, and Financial Services. Place Types are to Team Workplace what templates are to Domino. They let users begin with an industry-specific workplace design so they don’t have to start from scratch.

Templates provide the structure to get started.

In this screen, the eGovernment Rapid Response Place provides information sharing for teams that work to plan for emergencies and disaster recovery situations. The blue areas on the left are all the resources which come with the template. Notice how the Sametime integration indicates each member’s availability status.

Simple HTML Publishing

Publish HTML documents with no technical knowledge…..

You can make changes to documents in your browser with the ease of a word processing application.

To edit a document, all you do is choose New Revision, and Team Workplace opens Word with the chosen document.

When you save your edits, you are returned to Team Workplace where you then publish the document.

Team Workplace converts it to HTML, and you have created a Web page without any knowledge of HTML.

Room Maps

Navigate better with room maps…..

Team Workplace now offers a hierarchical list of all the rooms to which users have access, making it easier to navigate from room to room.

This screen displays a Room Map for the eGovernment Rapid Response Place. Rooms can be open or restricted to certain people.

Team Calendar

Track shared calendar events…..

Users can make a reservation for Sametime Web conferencing events and have them automatically appear in peoples’ individual Lotus Notes R5, Notes 6, or Microsoft Outlook calendars.
